2020 Holidays are Going to be Different this Year!
To say this year has been challenging would be an understatement. Many people are struggling with everything that 2020 has thrown our way. Especially our local economy and even more so our restaurant and hospitality industries.
Being a frontline worker, I find myself working more often than I’d like. And the thought of preparing our family’s usual Thanksgiving meal feels a little daunting. I made this list for people, like myself that can’t even wrap their heads around the idea of making a holiday meal or even the holiday itself.
This year is the perfect time to support a favorite restaurant! Takeout meals give restaurants an extra boost on holidays when many would have a lull in patrons. It’s always an awesome way to try a restaurant that you may not have considered or visited before.
Prepd (Neenah)
Recently we had the amazing experience of trying the kitchen at Barrel 41 Brewing Co’s tacos. If you haven’t yet make sure you visit our post about our experience. FourOne Food Group runs not only the kitchen at Barrel 41 Brewing Co but they also own Prepd, a meal prepping service located in Neenah.
If you haven’t ordered from them, they offer weekly specials that will keep your family interested with the many ever changing options. This month they are featuring their holiday menu which includes ham or turkey and an amazing variety of side. They also are offering a Thanksgiving Box of homemade treats, and even popcorn from Faris Popcorn, located in Fond Du Lac. My family was most excited about their appetizer selection, including the brie.
“The Thanksgiving menu is available between 11/16 and 11/29. You’ll be prompted to select a delivery or pickup date and time on the final checkout page. If you have any questions or dietary restrictions, please text/call (920)716-0396 or email [email protected].”

Stone Arch Brewpub (Appleton)
Can’t decide on what kind of meat you want for your meal? Why not try Stone Arch? Stone Arch offers a choice of turkey or ham, and some amazingly delish looking sides. They also offer these meals per person, so if you have a smaller family or maybe it’s just you, you would be able to have all the added benefits of all the sides without all the commitment to a full meal.
Smoked gouda mashed potatoes, anyone? They also have add ons of mac and cheese and pumpkin pie to help push you over into that carb coma we all know will send us to the couch.
Free delivery is available for orders over $75, and they also will offer contactless curbside pickup.
Orders can be placed between now and November 23rd here: https://forms.gle/Cod4ixUvi9pVHmFSA
Road Trip Food & Spirits (Kaukauna)
Are you in the Kaukauna area and looking for something nearby? Road Trip like Stone Arch is offering complete meals plated to your family’s specifications. Meals include all the fixings that you would traditionally expect from a Thanksgiving meal. If you aren’t in the mood for turkey, they also are offering their weekly Chicken Dinners.
They offer guaranteed hot pickup times from 11:00am-4:00pm

Wagner Market (Oshkosh)
It’s no secret that we at Nosh love Wagner Market. Recently our blogger Jenn visited with them and you can read about it here. They are offering traditional Thanksgiving fare by the pound, another great option for anyone that has either a smaller family or larger. If you have never visited Wagner Market before you can expect amazing gourmet quality.
They also are offering an all natural turkey and charcuterie board as a side. If you are like our family, you can’t get enough of these boards and the idea of starting my Thanksgiving feast off with one has me sold.
Don’t forget to grab a bottle of wine or your favorite craft beer. Wagner Market offers an amazing selection of both that I am sure they will happily help you pair with your meal.
We’d like to point out that we had no intention excluding anyone from this post, and if you own a restaurant that is offering a holiday meal this year, please feel free to reach out to us via email [email protected] or on social media and we will happily give your establishment a shout out.
Where will Your Family be Eating? We’d love to know if you decided on visiting any of the restaurant we’ve included in this post and how your meals was. Let us know in the comments.
Happy Thanksgving from the entire staff at Nosh Fox Valley!
