Jason Patzer
As a former barista, current home roaster, and home coffee enthusiast, I have a broad understanding of what all goes into the glorious liquid that is coffee.
Where are you from?
I grew up about an hour south of here, in Hartford. I went to school in both LaCrosse (UWL) and Waukesha (Carroll). My love of coffee started while living in Portland, Oregon for a couple of years.
Why Food Blogging?
I believe that coffee, as with food, is best shared with friends and family. Call up or message that friend or family member you’ve been thinking about and invite them over or out for a cup of coffee.
At Patzer Coffee, I write about pretty much every local place you can get a cup of coffee. My writings here at Nosh will be more focused on higher end, specialty, or craft coffee in the area.
What are some of your favorite restaurants?
As far as restaurants go, we don’t go out too much as a family, but when we want to treat ourselves or celebrate something, I usually order takeout from Little Siam here in Neenah. I’m also so very happy that Voyageurs has opened a shop in Appleton. Their bread is the best I’ve had and they also have a great coffee menu. As far, as coffee shops go, my main stop is Lawlss here in Neenah.

Seasonal Coffee Menu to Rival the Bread at Voyageurs Bakehouse
The coffee service at Voyageurs is as tasty and creative as anyone in town. Their new Spring menu launched on April 8th and is popping with some new, fresh, and interesting flavors. It features an adventurous take on the Wisconsin classic, the Old Fashioned, as well as a Kentucky Derby inspired latte.
